Legoland FC One Win Away From Record Fifth Serie A Title
Legoland FC have, however, two tricky remaining fixtures, a home meeting with Lazio and an away trip to Inter Police on the final day of the season.
Fans of the Blues will be hoping they can wrap things up next Sunday against Lazio rather than having to secure points against the ever
resilient Pigs.
LFC's crucial win over Marino was sealed by goals from Robinho, Raul, and Bernard Diomede, the latter finally ensuring hero-status with
the club's supporters after an impressive campaign. Speaking after the game, LFC's top scorer this term, Raul, dedicated the win to his
striking counterpart Romario. Romario, LFC's most capped and celebrated player of all time, will hang up his boots at the ripe old age of 42 on
Sunday 18th May. "He is the best ever minifig I have played alongside", Raul said.
LFC's rivals in the title race had by and large a disappointing round 40. Legoland United were held to a scoreless draw against Inter Milan which sees the Reds
last chance at an extraordinary comeback fade whilst the Celebs were routed 3-0 against Torino in a local derby at the Stadio Delle Alpi. Inter Police also suffered a defeat, going down 2-1
to Ajax Skerries at the Imperial Stadium in Legoland Town.
Results at the bottom of the table saw Emperor Eagles ensure top flight football for next season after a 2-1 win over Robin Rangers.
Rangers will have to wait at least until next week to know their own fate. With 44 points the club remains 3 above the drop and are
the only club currently outside the relegation zone that can be relegated. The trio in the zone, Milan, Sampdoria and Foggia have 41, 41 and
38 points respectively. Foggia's apparent doom reportedly pleased the owner of Marino football club and ruler of Eland, King Edward,
whose dislike for the Red Devils is well documented. According to the UASL Global newspaper, King Edward "will be popping open the bubbly should
Foggia go down the tube".

A 3-1 victory away to Marino has seen Legoland FC move ever closer to securing a record fifth Serie A title. The Blues bounced back from
recent defeats to go four points clear of second placed Ajax Skerries with just two league rounds remaining. More importantly perhaps, the
Blues are now 6 points ahead of the other members of the so-called 'Grand Four' - Legoland United , reigning champions the Celebs, and Inter Police - and so
even one point in their next two games will ensure that none of these three can pip LFC for the crown.
