Legoland FC Win 31st Legoland Derby At The Partizan

View Photo Database A 61st minute goal by Legoland FC veteran striker Romario was enough to hand the Blues victory in the 31st League Legoland Derby clash with bitter rivals Legoland United. The meeting of the nation's top two footballing powerhouses was, as expected, a tense affair with both brawls on and off the pitch.

Legoland FC were lucky however not to go behind within five minutes of the start as Legoland United's Cripple saw his 4-yard effort come off the foot of the post. Apart from that chance there were few for the Reds as Legoland FC's reargaurd of Francesco Toldo in goals and Francesco Coco, Salvatore Fresi and Pepe in defence worked well as a unit to keep out United's attacking disabled trio of Leper, Christy and Cripple.

LFC had more chances themselves with both Denilson and Jérome Leroy going close before the half-hour mark. In the 42nd minute LFC had a clear chance to take the lead after Andrea Coda's challenge in the box on Romario was deemed a foul and referee Crazy Bender awarded the spot kick. Romario stepped up to take the penalty himself but was denied by a terrific save from United keeper Francesco Antonioli. Romario's miss delighted the Legoland United supporters but infuriated those of LFC who promptly set about throwing everything and anything possible at the match assistants.

Sixteen minutes after the break they stopped their ramphant hooliganism as Filippo Savi's equisite cross was headed in by a clearly off-side Romario to make it 1-0 to the Blues. The goal caused pandemonian in the 600 plus crowd with the LFC fans delighted and those of United left fuming. A red-faced United boss, Mr United, stormed onto the pitch to complain to the referee Crazy Bender and had to be escorted by the police back to the touchline.

The scene was to be repeated at the final whistle as LFC hung on to claim a hugely important win and in doing so got revenge for last February's 1-0 Derby defeat. The win sees the Blues move five points ahead of United and five ahead of last season's champions the Celebs. That was as a result of Celebs' stuttering start to the campaign which saw the Aristocrats lose 2-1 last weekend to Inter Police and draw 1-1 in this weekend's meeting with Port Villa.

In other results Ajax Skerries heaped the pressure on Emperor Eagles boss Walter Novellino as the Legoland Town team ran out 3-1 winners and left the Eagles with their second defeat in their opening two games. Juventus went down to a shock 3-0 home defeat to Greentown Athletic, a result that sees the Greentown side move top of the SuperLeague ahead of Legoland FC on goal difference. Milan also join the top two on six points following their exciting 3-2 win over Roma. Two goals from Kaka and a Andrea Pirlo effort were ust enough to see off a Francesco Totti inspired Roma.

Marino defeated Lazio by a 2-1 scoreline at the Export Arena whilest Torino hammered Inter Police 4-1 in Turin and Lion Lakers were held to a 1-1 scoreline against Republic.

Should hooliganism be recognised as an Olympic Sport? Is Crazy Bender a complete retard?
