The Lego Clan Dominates The Oscars

View Photo Database Crime flick, The Lego Clan, has won 7 Oscars at the inaugural Lego Oscars in Greentown today. The Lego Oscars, hosted by the Academy of Minifig Motion Pictures aims to give recognition to the very best of Lego films. The Lego Clan, produced by the Rolling Heads Entertainment film studio, picked all of the most prestigious awards, including Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, Best Makeup, Best Sound Editing, and Best Visual Effects. Director Johnny Piquette also picked up the Best Director award.

The film is based on turf wars between rival drug gangs in Legoland. The current real-life fighting between Legoland's Hole Heads and Shaven Heads crime gangs has added to the popularity of the film according to pundits. Nevertheless the film has come in for some criticism with Empire Police chief, Biggus Piggus, claiming that the movie "glorifies killing policemen".

The production is expected to earn record sales at the Legoland box office having already pulled in huge crowds.
