Cuahchic meets with cabinet as Legañan economy stagnates

View Photo Database President Cuahchic of Legaña arrived at a meeting with his cabinet today amongst great pomp and ceremony. El Presidente appeared at the Legañan government offices in his newly completed black limousine, watched by a large crowd of onlookers. No expense was spared by the Legañan leader – as his chauffeur opened the doors of the luxury vehicle, he stepped out onto a red carpet and gave the waiting crowd a big wave and a warm smile. As the crowd waved banners and cheered, El Presidente walked slowly down to meet his ministers, ensuring to stop for plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

There was no sign of anxiety on El Presidente’s face following yesterday’s jungle skirmish, although there was a significantly increased police presence surrounding the offices. Fortunately, everything ran smoothly and the Legañan leader is now in intense debate with his ministers in the cabinet. The meeting is believed to be concerning the recent slow-down in the Legañan economy, with investment in the construction of Santa Maria having come to a recent halt. Builders have been unable to complete the Hospital de la Santa Maria for over a week now and this is sure to be high on El Presidente’s agenda today.

As usual, opposition to the current government were quick to condemn Cuahchic’s actions, stating “He (Cuahchic) should be concentrating on the internal affairs of Legaña; instead he lives the life of a celebrity in grandeur whilst much of the population lives in poverty with no roof over their head”. This has been the most bitter attack of the Legaña leader as yet, but while some may disapprove of today’s events, it seems as if the charismatic President can do no wrong in the eyes of the general population.

Should the Legañan leader be shamelessly self-promoting himself as hundreds of minifigs starve?
