LFC Busy Throwing Away The League

View Photo Database Legoland FC's hopes of landing their fifth Serie A title took another body blow today after Jose Mourinho's minifigs were held at home in a 2-2 draw with Torino. A total disaster was only averted as neither of the three sides directly below LFC managed to win, Ajax Skerries falling from second place to fifth after a 3-1 home defeat to Lazio, and Inter Police and Legoland United staying put with scoreless draws against Milan and Lion Lakers. However, worryingly for LFC, reigning champions Celebs secured their fourth consecutive win to go second and now, with three league games remaining, are just one win away from catching the Blues.

Indeed, the Celebs, owned by The Legoland Times owner Mr Prints, are now some bookmakers favourites to retain their crown and equal Legoland FC's record four Serie A league wins. After seeing his side dispatch Parma 2-1 at the Ennio Tardini stadium, Mr Prints, an inspiration to all minifigs worth their stud, called the league run-in "the most exciting ever", and predicted that "this season belongs to Legoland's celebrities, not Legoland's hooligans".

Meanwhile, Empire Police units have reported football-related disturbances in parts of Legoland City as LFC supporters vent their fury at other minifigs and their property. Reports from Dalam suggested that fires have been started on the railway lines and public service to the suburb had been cut. Empire Police chief Biggus Piggus warned troublemakers that their days of endless rioting-at-will is coming to and end and they "should enjoy while they can this term as next season it won't be so easy". Mr Piggus stated that their will likely be a new prison camp, designed specifically to house LFC hooligans, built over the Summer to "deal with such mind-boggling mindless minifigs".

In other results, Marino continued a good season with an impressive 2-1 victory over Juventus, a win that gives the Seasiders hope of qualfiying for next season's LEGO European Cup for the first ever time. Marino coach John Aldridge said he felt "vindicated and happy to have proved his doubters wrong this season". At the wrong end of the table, Foggia's 4-1 capitulation at the hands of Republic has all but doomed the club whilst Milan's draw with Inter Police and Sampdoria's loss to Emperor Eagles has but the duo in real danger of the drop.

In Serie B, Legoland Celtic became the first casulity of the season being relegated to Serie C after a 1-1 draw with Olympic Slavia. In the promotion battle, Napoli remain top with 65 points followed by Boca Libertas on 63 and Black Fortress Barbarians two behind on 61. Fiorentina, Stuart Spacers, and Airport Lane are all chasing one of the three promotion spots and all three have 59 points.
