Juventus To Face Blue Berry Bridge In LEGO European Cup Final

View Photo Database Juventus have reached the final of the LEGO European Cup for the first time in their year 14 history after securing a 4-2 aggregate win over Inter Pondaland in Pondaland tonight. Led both on and off the pitch by the Emperor himself, Juve have had a tremendous season in Europe this year despite having struggled in the domestic SuperLeague. Goals in the first leg's 2-0 home win from Giorgio Chiellini and Marcelo Zalayeta and goals from Vincent Pericard and Alessandro Del Piero in tonight's 2-2 draw was enough to see the Turin giants through. After the game, the Emperor, who both owns and plays for the club, expressed his delight at the result. "We hopefully can break the record attendance for a European Cup Final by bringing our many fans to Chessland", he said. He added, "I am very confident of bringing the cup back to Legoland".

Juventus coach Claudio Ranieri beamed happily whilst telling reporters that his players "deserved huge praise". Looking ahead to the final in Chessland City, Ranieri said that it was a great achievement for the club to have gotten this far especially considering the useless players at his disposal. A win on 21st May was possible he said as "flukes happen". "The game will be some over-rated players's last chance at justifying their salaries with Juve", he explained referring no doubt to Marcelo Zalayeta who the Juventus board are understood to believe is over-rated and over-paid. The minifig is expected to be sold in the Summer to current Serie B leaders Napoli for a fee in the region of £5.5m, should the mafia-ridden club earn promotion to Serie A.

Meanwhile, in ND Land, glory-hunting minifig fans of Blue Berry Bridge celebrated as their side ensured their place in the final for the second season running with victory over Kland club Black Hearts on away goals. On the streets of ND Town, interviewed bum Mr Renou de Ponce was eager to give his two cents to The Legoland Times and to anyone else who would listen. "BBB means Blue Berry Bridge but also Bringing Back Basics and basics in this case means the European Cup. BBB are bringing back the cup!".

Blue Berry Bridge won their first ever European Cup in last season's final and will be hoping to become the first club in the competition's history to successfully defend their crown. According to the Legoland based Sports for Minifigs magazine, "the Bridge may underestimate Juventus by focusing too much on Juve's poor Serie A season, however, BBB's wily coaches will no doubt try to ensure their minifig players are anything but complacent".
