Legoland FC (also commonly known as LFC or the Blues) are the biggest and most successful club in Legoland and, arguably, the
world. The first ever Lego professional football club side, the club was formed on 1st October 1993 in Legoland City.
From the very beginning the club quickly became both the most supported and most hated side in the country and beyond. Due to the team's historical
dominance they are sometimes known as the 'Kings of Legoland football'.
In the early days of Legoland football, the club picked up a number of titles in some quite dubious circumstances. These included the first ever
League title, won after a poorly refereed championship play-off penalty shoot-out following a ridiculous 10-10 draw against Old Rule rivals Legoland United.
In these early years the Legoland Football Association was accused of favoritism towards the club and this accusation remained despite the fact that the
team slid into an era of severe under-achieving. In fact, in the 1994/1995 season the club avoided relegation following a points accounting error which saw Juventus wrongly
relegated in place of the side from the capital. The error only came to light many years later and the football authorities quickly blamed the mistake on an Eland
accounting firm who they claimed had made the final points table. In the 1996/1997 season the club finished a disastrous season third from bottom but
although the position would normally result in relegation to the second division, the football association re-jigged the format of the top flight expelling Gardinia East FC and
relegating the bottom 3 instead of the standard 4.
Despite the club's poor domestic form, the side retained its huge support particularly among the nation's working class and unemployed minifigs. By the late
1990s the years of under achieving finally ended and silverware was brought home in abundance to the delight of that support.
Legoland FC's supporters are infamous for their bad behaviour and arrogance. Acts of violence is frequently seen at matches involving the club, especially in derby
fixtures against their cross-town adversaries Legoland United. The fans are also known for their racism towards citizens of other nations, in particular
Klanders, Elanders, and NDlanders. Numerous domestic and European games involving the club have in the past been abandoned due to crowd trouble and the club has suffered
heavy disciplinary fines as a result.
On 3rd March 2008, Gheorghe Hagi was installed as the first ever president of Legoland FC by the club's board of directors. Hagi, a key member of the first
squad, will act as the board's public representative.
